



Horizontal navigation as a Category
In the top of your MeetingPoint you can make use of a horizontal navigation bar, just below the header. There are two types that can be used, a normal category or a link category (see Horizontal navigation - link category). With this option you can easily go to the categories that are shown in the horizontal navigation.
- To get a horizontal navigation bar go to the “Manage” menu in the admin panel
- Click on “Categories” in the horizontal navigation
- Go to “Add new” by clicking on it or scrolling down
- Add a new category parent, if you don’t know how to do this, see Manage Categories. Probably you want this one to be named something like “horizontal navigation” to make it easy to find for everyone to place content in.
- Repeat this in order to add the subcategories. In this case you choose “horizontal navigation” for parent category. The subs will be placed in alphabetical order as horizontal navigation items.
- Now go to the Options menu and click on “Template” in the horizontal navigation
- Select your horizontal navigation category in the first box of the Horizontal navigation (either Category or Link Category) menu (The second box is for horizontal navigation with a link category).
- To finish, scroll down and click “Submit”
If you go back to the homepage of your MeetingPoint now you can see the horizontal navigation just below the header.
